At Belco, our dedication to meeting our members’ needs is matched only by our dedication to giving back to the communities we serve through volunteer participation, fundraising, financial literacy programs, sponsorships, and charitable contributions throughout the year. Belco is proud to be a part of what matters to our members.
We sponsored and participated in the Latin Festival in Lancaster at Long’s Park on September 23.
On September 22, a group of employees attended the Salvation Army Shoe Strut at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg located in Camp Hill.
Amey Sgrignoli, Belco President/CEO, was a panelist at Women for Women: Conquer Your Career Path in Carlisle on September 20. Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce held the event, which sparked great discussion about women and career advancement, among other topics. Thank you Amey, Tara Fischer from Dickinson, Kate Millikan from Martson Law in Carlisle, and Maureen Zimmerman from UPMC Pinnacle for making the event thoughtful and beneficial for all who attended.
On September 19, Belco donated $500 to Mission Central for the Hurricane Relief fund and took a group of employees to Mission Central in Mechanicsburg to work on filling buckets being sent to the hurricane victims.
On September 15, six Belco employees finished 3rd in the fourth annual 2017 Corporate Challenge, held by Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce. The challenge features obstacle courses, tug of war, and more! Proceeds from the event benefited the Chamber’s Workforce Development programs.
On September 15, Tricia Heisey worked with HACC to teach Budgeting and Understanding Credit for students in their STEP program; she also had the privilege of attending their graduation. Congratulations to Class 10!
On September 13, many Belco employees participated in Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Jeans Day. We donated $590.50 to CMN.
On September 9, a group of Belco employees participated in the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Light the Night walk downtown Harrisburg.
