Need to Dispute a Card Transaction?
To dispute a Belco credit card, debit card, or non-Belco ATM transaction:
- Please attempt to contact the merchant first, as most billing errors can be resolved this way.
- If the merchant is unwilling/unable to correct the transaction or if you do not recognize the charge(s), please continue.
- Please note: Pending charges cannot be disputed until they post to your account.

- For merchant disputes, gather documentation (receipts, proof of return, copies of merchant communication)
- Please make note of your dispute case number, should you need to call back for updates.

You can enroll your debit card in the Belco Rewards program online in just a few steps. Just visit the Belco Rewards website, create your account, and follow the prompts to register your card. Once you’re signed up, you can start redeeming rewards on your purchases.
Yes. You can avoid overdraft fees by opting in to have balances in a Belco Savings Account or Line of Credit transferred to your checking account if funds are insufficient to cover a transaction. Belco offers a variety of Overdraft options to help.
Yes, you can use your debit card when traveling through Visa’s worldwide payment network. If you plan to travel internationally, please contact Belco before your trip so we can ensure uninterrupted card use and alert you to any travel advisories. This can be done with card management features in online banking! International fees may apply.
Belco allows unlimited withdrawals at non-Belco ATMs nationwide. However, other institutions may apply their own surcharges. Belco members has access to no surcharge ATMs throughout PA.
You can toggle your card status through the mobile app or online banking. Turning it off temporarily blocks all transactions until you turn it back on.
When your card is off:
- New purchases are declined
- ATM withdrawals are blocked
- Online payments won’t go through
- Recurring payments may still process
