April is Youth Month at Belco!
Make a splash at your local Belco branch! During Youth Month in April, Belco is helping kids dive into their savings and explore new opportunities to plan for the future.
From April 1-30, when Kids make a deposit into their Savings Safari or XTS account or open a new account, they will help us reach our goals! If we meet these goals, or come close, Belco will donate $1,500 to Joshua Group.

Savings Safari Club FAQs
What is the minimum age required to open a savings account for kids?
This account is designed for kids aged 12 and under and is the perfect way to introduce them to personal finance and money management.
Can my child receive a debit card with their kid’s savings account?
While the Savings Safari Club focuses on saving money, we do not offer debit cards for this particular account. However, our Xtreme Teen Savers Club, for teens between the ages of 13 and 18, is a checking account that comes with a free, no-fee Visa debit card.
How can I monitor my child’s savings account activity through online banking?
You’ll have access to helpful online banking features that make it easy to keep track of your child’s savings progress. We designed our accounts to help parents and children save money together.

My child is under 13 years of age. Does Belco have a youth account?
We sure do! Our highly popular Savings Safari Club is for kids 12 and under. It’s a great way to learn how to set and reach their savings goals! Parents can open an account for their child at any Belco location.
How can I earn money for my grades through the Xtreme Teen Savers Club?
You can earn $1.00 for every “A” you receive in any subject, up to five “A”s per marking period. To take advantage of this benefit, a parent must match the dollar amount for the grades earned. We can only accept the most recent marking period’s report card. You can redeem your rewards at any Belco location.
What are the requirements to open a savings account for kids at Belco Community Credit Union?
You must open a joint account with your teen and provide us with their Social Security Number and valid state ID. When you open the account, your child can make their first deposit to start saving money!
